Americans with Disabilities Act, What Supervisors Need to Know

This session is about the Americans with Disabilities Act, or ADA. The ADA is the federal law that prohibits employment discrimination against individuals with disabilities. One of the most important goals of this law is to give equal employment opportunities to qualified individuals with disabilities. Supervisors and Employers play an important role in compliance with the ADA because they make many hiring, promotion, and job assignment decisions. Therefore, Supervisors and Employers need to understand the requirements of the ADA and how these rules affect our workplace.
