A Component Analysis of Cognitive-Behavioral Treatment for Depression This article seeks to identify which of the three aspects of Aaron Becks model of cognitive-behavioral therapy are most critical to improvement in and/or recovery from major depression. The three areas of treatment focus that were compared include focus on observable behavior, dysfunctional automatic thinking and more stable cognitive schemas.
